Gina has been busy all week with finals. All day, every day, she’s either been in class or in a study group. She’s been hard at the books all semester, of course, but now she’s extended the hours. She’s taking undergraduate classes in preparation for pharmacy school. So this week I’ve been living like a bachelor: watching too much TV, ignoring the laundry, eating bad food, avoiding things I don’t want to do. I even spent an evening with Kat playing video games and attending a cool event that Wade and the folks at the Dickson Theater threw for local musicians (thanks guys, if you stumble across this. The barbecue was excelent).
Three more days of work and I have two weeks of vacation. I’ve already made lists of more things than I could do if I had a month off. But I’m sure, whatever I do, that some time away from the usual tasks will be a nice break. And, if I stick to my plan at all, I’ll have a revamped version of wheatdesign ready that integrates some new features and gets rid of some legacy code. Most of these changes will be under the hood–don’t expect it to look much different. But it should be even easier to use than it already is. :)
By redoing the Nancy site to use Blogger, I turned our ringleader, Sean, onto blogging. He now has a nice little poetry workshop online that might interest you.
