It is election day in Carolina and everywhere else in the country. Besides the Governor’s race, there are also several constitutional ammendments to vote on. The biggest flap will probably be over Amendment 1, as it is a gay marriage and civil union ban. I’m sure the residents of a state that didn’t bother, until 1998, to get in line with the 1967 Supreme Court and repeal the state ban on interracial marriages will not be in any rush to welcome gay and lesbian folks into the bonds of matrimony.
