Been working up a few flash demos for the technology camp I teach in the summer (for 6th – 12th graders).
Northcode makes a nice product called SWF Studio that extends the possibilities of flash projector files, allowing you to develop powerful stand-alone apps that get past the security limitations in flash mx. (I’ve used flash command line tools to do this with flash 5, but they don’t work with mx. And SWF Studio takes the idea and runs with it.
SiteBar lets you keep your bookmarks on your server (with php/mysql) and access them through a folder-based hierarcy like web browsers use. As someone who tends to keep bookmarks on lots of different machines, this sounds really great. I’m going to install it. I’ll let you know how it goes.
