Like most of America, I’ve been watching a lot of coverage of the Terri Schaivo case. Massachusetts representative Barney Frank, journalist Christopher Hitchens, and attorney Geoffrey Fieger, all spoke convincingly on the issue, as did Mark Schaivo’s own attorney. All of them asked, in essence, that we uphold the rule of law rather than letting pure emotion carry the day. So, while certain parties are off crafting laws which will make it harder to be taken off life support, it might be a good idea to put some wishes officially down on paper. . .
