Here’s a screen shot of MacOS 7.5.3 running on my WinXP laptop via the wonderment that is Basilisk. If you’d like to do the same, you’ll also need a copy of HFVExplorer, which lets you create virtual mac hard drives under windows and move files back and forth between the platforms. And you can score some software at Macintosh Garden and mac.org. I ran it in a window to get the shot, but running it full screen offers the best performance and makes your windoze laptop actually feel more like an old Mac. Basilisk requires a Mac ROM image. I’ve heard you can find those around, or you can really show your geek and try extracting one from your old Mac.
