I use web applications to manage quite a lot of my life, but I’ve never found a solution I truly liked to keeping track of personal contacts. This becomes an issue every holiday season, and it has become more of one now that my friends are spread out across the country.
A friend of mine has been using Plaxo and likes it. Giving over contact info (for yourself and your friends) to some faceless company is a bit scary, so I scoured the and privacy policies with a careful, jaundiced eye. So far, I’m happy and have been beta testing it with just a few contacts. I like what I see.
I don’t use Outlook at home, so I don’t have any use for the Outlook integration features, but the web-based features are nice.
