Still more GTD + a few other updates

Monday, April 30th, 2007

I finally broke down and bought a copy of David Allen’s Getting Things Done. I’m about a third of the way through it right now. It’s a quick read and I expect to finish it in the next few days. It’s a little too business oriented for my tastes, but its fairly [...]

Steve’s goin’ solo…

Tuesday, April 24th, 2007

Our friend Steve Jarvis has decided to take the plunge, leaving the security of working for the man for the high seas of independent web development and consulting. His firm, Kudzu Design, has been doing work for year, but always as a side-line, until now.
I’ve worked with Steve on quite a few [...]

Rolling with the Grid-Server

Sunday, April 22nd, 2007

I just upgraded my mediatemple.net account to the new Grid-Server. Since I’m an existing customer, I opted for the Grid-Server “Lite” account, which has fewer resources but costs the same as the old Shared-Server accounts.
Let me know if anything goes crazy.

More GTD stuff

Wednesday, April 18th, 2007

At work, I’ve been using GTDTiddlyWiki + my own vague understanding of GTD to organize my life, and it’s been a great help. Soon, I’ll break down and actually buy the frickin book. It can’t hurt to get the big picture from the source.

Wednesday, April 18th, 2007

A few updates…

Monday, April 16th, 2007

It’s a brisk day here in Charleston. The projected high is only 67 and it is only 62 right now. I like it very much and hope it continues. We had crazy brisk winds this past weekend, but very little rain. It’s just odd weather all the way around.
I’m reading Julian [...]

I interviewed Billy Sheehan, one of my childhood bass idols, for Bassplaying.com.

Things I didn’t miss + Some pix

Friday, April 13th, 2007

There were plenty of things I missed while I was on vacation, here are some I didn’t:

Driving - A nice drive down a long and winding country highway is still a treat, but, in general, driving sucks. A well designed subway system is a beautiful thing. I ended up preferring the London Underground [...]

Back in the USA

Thursday, April 12th, 2007

Hey kids. I heard you missed me, so I’m back. Gina and I had a great trip to London and Paris and are now back home (got in late last night). We kept a trip journal along the way, so I’ll be posting some excerpts in the coming days. We also [...]
