I upgraded my laptop hard drive last year, which left me with the old 6GB drive sitting in my desk drawer. Recently, I purchased an enclosure for it, similar to this one, which lets me use it as a portable USB2 drive. It rocks, especially when I travel (and don’t always want to take my laptop).
